Australis Commission

The Australis Commission was the organizational structure of CELAN throughout the Second Age. Initially an exploratory effort by House Geek to determine the viability of long-term Alaskan habitation of the Lower 48, the Commission later shed its Alaskocentric focus.
History[edit]
The Commission was founded in 2007, coinciding with the departure of Soupspoon and Mons Farrar from Blood Gulch to Seattle and marking the end of the First Age. Other personnel followed, and over the subsequent years new allies were brought into the fold. Though initially a department of House Geek, the Commission's growth eventually led to its formal secession as a new Calvinball State, though it maintained close ties with its northern predecessor.
Reformation[edit]
With the re-emergence of the LAN party as a primary social endeavor, the Commission re-organized into the Church of the Eternal LAN in 2016, marking the beginning of the Third Age. Though the transition was abrupt and thorough, evidence of the Commission can be found from time to time in CELAN, such as the Commission Star and the [AC] clan tag.
